The members of the Brehon Law Societies are a talented and dedicated attorneys and other people interested in turning the promise of human rights into reality.  They have championed the cause of the McAllister family and the other Irish political émigrés resident in the U.S. who face the danger of deportation.

On March 15, 2002, in the City of Chicago, the Irish Deportees of America Committee was formed. The deportees represented in this committee are in full agreement with the Good Friday Agreement in regards to the north of Ireland and with this in mind, we ask for your support.

The deportees represented on this committee, including Malachy McAllister, have individual cases pending within the United States. They all have wives and children that will be affected by any action taken against them by the pending U.S. deportation orders. These men and their family's lives have been threatened if they are sent back to Ireland involuntarily. They have lived productive and peaceful lives for decades in the United States and would like the privilege to stay and live in America permanently.
